The R22 backpack combines Kriega’s signature roll-top waterproof storage with the British brand’s rock-solid backpack harness for an uber capable, moto-specific design.
The R22’s eponymous 22 liters of storage is broken up into two compartments—an 18-liter roll-top main cargo hold; and a 4-liter zippered exterior pocket.
While not 100% waterproof, the 4-liter exterior pocket is highly water resistant, especially since it’ll be on the back of the rider who ought to be moving forward and thus shielding it from any rain.
But for non-negotiable waterproofing, trust the main 18-liter roll-top cavity to safely hold your laptop, camera, or any other hydrophobic accessories.

Proven across the Kriega bag range, this feature is a favorite with motorcyclists for its generous ease of movement and “locked in” feel. The trick is that it cinches down and supports the bag's weight securely without sawing through the tops of your shoulders like a traditional backpack can.
Speaking of accessories the R22 comes with built-in tabs for attaching a Kriega US-5 or US-10 drybag. That's a lot of futzing with straps for scant added storage, but if your'e already invested in the Kriega product line, it's a nice-to-have feature.
Construction comes right out of the Kriega playbook with 420D Cordura and Nylon Ripstop making up the chassis, reinforced with bar-tacks at every opportunity, a sprinkling of details (like zipper garages, certain panels and
